Singapore House

My friends have been asking me to try a restaurant called Singapore House. They said its superrr! So, my friends and i went there last week and most of the food we tried were really nice. YUM! cant wait to come back and eat there. The first time we stepped in we were shocked! its like the nicest Asian restaurant in Adelaide, we didnt really expect it to be that nice.

I find it weird having spicy tasty food as entree (as i usually eat it with rice). For example, the chilli soft shell crab. and have another food, say the duck leg for main (and eat it with rice). and we peeked other tables to see how big the portion is, and it was pretty big, so even ordering one main for ourselves would be too much. So my friend and i decided to share 4 main dishes. Some food we ordered are actually entree dishes but since we're sharing, we asked the chef to make it main size. And we struggled to finish everything.

The Union Hotel

Bought a random voucher from scoopon and tried the Union Hotel with my friend. We ordered the entree plater (we can choose 3 entrees), two mains and a dessert to share. So, this is what we chose:

So, here's what i think:

Entree:
Overall, the entree was okay. The squid is not tasty enough but the beef medallion and asparagus cheese fritata are quite nice.

Main:
Honestly, I dont like the mains. The Eye fillet is ordinary and beef cheek.... i didnt even finish half of it.

Dessert:
The coconut crumble we chose for dessert was quite good, they served it with fresh cream and strawberry.

So, this is just my own opinion. If anyone disagree with my opinions, i apologize.

Milano Cucina

Few weeks ago, my friend and i went to Milano Cucina, an italian restaurant somewhere in hutt st (i'll provide the details below). Each of us ordered an entree and a main course. Many people i know was a disappointed with the food, but some food that we ordered was quite nice.

So, i don't think there's anything special with the smoked salmon (pic 1) but the soft-shell crab and calamari entree (2nd pic) is nice, i like the aioli sauce served with it.

The mushroom risotto (3rd pic) was nice, i like the flavor of the truffle. The blue swimmer crab linguine was hmm... (sorry) tasteless.

So, this is just my own opinion. Anyone who doesn't agree with whatever i wrote here, then i'm sorry if i disappoint anybody. Again, this is PURELY just my opinion.
